As a director, Alissa trains her eye on moments of lyricism and magic in the everyday world. Her work spans collaborations with actors like Liev Schreiber and Zooey Deschanel, artists including P!nk and Will.i.am, and campaigns for Johnson & Johnson, HP, and Spectrum. In 2019, she co-directed a feature-length musical with pop artist Melanie Martinez. It premiered in theaters across 32 countries, drawing over 20 million views on YouTube in its first week. Her music video for Phoebe Bridgers was named IndieWire’s “Best Video of the Year” in 2020, and most recently, she contributed metamorphosis imagery to HBO’s Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero. Alissa’s first feature screenplay, a Sundance Writing Labs finalist, anchors her expanding body of work, which now includes several short films in development.
